Why Our Courses

AMRS courses will teach you and coach you in "how to pass the AMC exams" - For a FREE trial - Click Here

This Melbourne based course (run by the Australian Medical Recognition Services) will guide, coach and prepare overseas trained doctors/international medical graduates for the Australian Medical Council Exams.

This didactic, practical, easy to learn and revolutionary preparation technique for the AMC exams is not taught in a primordial fashion in any of the few courses available for preparation

  • You will be trained "to look diligently” for the MOST correct answer in AMC MCQ questions, discarding different “contentious” alternatives specifically designed to disguise and confused the “unprepared & untrained” candidate.
  • You will be taught to chase, unmask and find "The Clue", accumulate points and avoid “critical errors” in order to pass the AMC Clinical Exam Scenarios.
  • “OTD/IMG believes that having only a thorough medical knowledge is sufficient to pass the exam. They could not be further away from reality”

Interesting Read
The Australian Healthcare is greatly enriched by its Overseas Trained Doctors (OTD)/International Medical Graduates (IMG). There is no national approach to support the integration of IMG/OTD’s into the workforce. The problem areas are well defined; the need for better information access; better orientation to our healthcare systems and the workplace; improving communication with patients and healthcare workers, standardized assessment of knowledge and skills; and education and training support. So let’s get on with it.
Mc Grath, Barry P. THE MEDICAL JOURNAL OF AUSTRALIA 2004; 181 (11/12)640-642 -
IMG/OTDs receive insufficient orientation to the Australian Health care system and Australian culture. - There is lack of professional and personal support for IMG/OTDs and their families. - IMG/OTDs experience many stresses in their personal lives-separation from family, inadequate employment opportunities for a spouse, and cultural isolation. - Workforce demands are such that IMG/OTDs are employed in positions of medical need, but these needs are inadequately matched to their clinical skills and previous experience.

Testimonials

I was at a loss, in a small town with no study partners and with familial constraints to move around and study elsewhere. At a time like this, finding an online course at a time convenient to me was more than I could wish for. The great thing was that not only did I get to practice scenarios in an AMC Clinical Exam like situation but I also got valuable feedback from it. The cases we did covered a lot of topics and I learnt a lot from each one of them. Dr Salinas-La Rosa has been a saviour for me for this exam. His experience in this field is invaluable. That combined with professionalism and sincerity makes his course a must have in the agenda of all those planning to give this exam. He has a unique style that everyone can relate to; he makes you feel comfortable and adjusts his teaching methods according to the individual's needs. Thank you Dr Salinas- La Rosa for taking the time and effort to help us fellow OTD/IMG doctors."
